Cat Mate makes compartment-style feeders that hold wet or dry food in separate trays, with a cold pack option on some models. They do not dispense dozens of meals, but they are handy for a short trip or for wet food.

Who it is for: cat owners who feed wet food or only need a few meals.

• Pros: works for wet food, simple, no complex setup.
• Cons: limited number of meals, and food should not sit for long.

Verdict: good for short absences with wet food.
